Starting position: lying on your back, feet flat on the floor, dumbbells side by side with arms extended above your chest, shoulders down, shoulder blades together and abs tight.

 

Tips for performing the incline dumbbell press at 30° and working your pectorals and triceps

Execution: Lower the dumbbells to each side of your chest by bending both arms with your elbows away from your body, keeping them slightly below shoulder level. When your hands are in the lowest position, push upwards with both arms straight up, squeezing the dumbbells together and contracting your pectoral muscles at the end of the movement, without lifting your shoulders off the floor.

Breathing: inhale on the descent and exhale at the end of the push.
